Brandon Routh returning as Superman was the best part of Crisis on Infinite Earths

I was so pissed when Lex replaced him. He was definitely the best part of Crisis.
Yep, and with a sharpie.
Flash meets Flash was the best surprise.
that lex twist was wild. Didnt really like the sharpie write over, but also didnt really mind.
I do feel that they did some really good callbacks for Brandon and his Superman role. It felt done RIGHT!
In addition to that, I really liked the return of OG Flash, and Flash CW meeting DCEU Flash, I just wish all 3 could have had a scene together. If all 3 Flashes and all 3 Superman had scenes together it would have been amazing
I definitely think there should have at some point been a full hour long adventure with OG Barry and CW Barry so that sacrifice would have had more weight instead of being a deus ex machina.
On paper, replacing him with Luthor was a genius idea. But in practice, it didn't really impact the story too much and I think the Brandon Routh Superman embodied a sense of hope and strength that the actual Paragons were kind've lacking in comparison.
Imagine Routh's Superman instead of Ryan Choi talking to that alternate version of the Monitor about his wife and kid in that scene. Would have been great.
Even after everything, I was hoping for final epic moment for Routh's Superman, so that he could get the proper send-off that he deserves. I was disappointed when it never came.
