If there was a TV show with US presidents

Trump seems more like the shady Buissness man side character that’ll either help the main characters out or help the villains out depending on what gives him more money

Shady isn't the right word for his aesthetic imo. He'd be more of a scandalous celebrity

jb4427

In no universe is LBJ a side character

Athragio

Starts off as a side character, but then becomes a fan favorite and the writers make him a main character by the end of season two. Probably after, you know, that one guy dies.

bboy037

I feel like he'd be the main character that the fanbase hates

Athragio

Hey just like real life!

bboy037

Lmao

DeepFriedBee

His sidekick is “Jumbo”

FredererPower

I feel like Buchanan might be a main villain or a character that rarely shows up yet annoys everyone when he does (like Janice in Friends) Really like this idea though!

will49

How could Coolidge be much of a character if he never says anything?

AvengerMan49

The same way Teller of Penn & Teller is famous

DeepFriedBee

That’s perfect

Heavy_Swimming_4719

I would switch Adams with Reagan.

protomanEXE1995

same

Quick-Grapefruit8190

same

Z582

Adams is a very weird pick for main characters. Also put Reagan comfortably in the villain category. I imagine him as the charmer that everyone thinks is on their side but is reveled to be a true villain later on.

PreservationOfTheUSA

Truman would definitely be in the "sidekick" category. Who would Bush Jr. be the sidekick of?

DeepFriedBee

President Cheney

PreservationOfTheUSA

> President Cheney I wish.

Quick-Grapefruit8190

his dad

Thezeek21055

Biden?

harvey1a

Oh damn, I forgot

Thezeek21055

Whst would he be then

harvey1a

He could be a side character

myredditaccountimade

The newly added character everybody either likes or really hates.

Thezeek21055

Whst would he be then

Andrew17Johnson

FAKE! pierce would be the main character

DavidRFZ

Hawkeye! He’d stretch his one 4-year term out into 11 seasons.

For all of Hoover’s faults, his pre-presidency is interesting enough for him to be a Mary Sur character. There are TV shows about Grant and Obama and they are both pretty good. FDR was a snake. Described by a political scientist as a fox. Ran as a radical, moderate, racist, woke activist, upper class patrician, friend of labor, etc. when it helps him, Makes him a good side character to Perkins, Eleanor, or Henry Wallace’s story. HW Bush was a friend and rival of Reagan, but not really much of a sidekick, his economic and foreign policy is quite different. Perhaps as a side character to a movie about spies and diplomats. Van Buren would probably be an effective sidekick (or side villain) in the Jackson story. LBJ can only be a main character or villain. I woke also put Jackson as a possible villain. Wilson also as both a villain or side character. A lot of future leaders of nations looked up to him as a role model, ironically a lot of them weren’t white. In Korea, he played a big role, accidentally, in the March 1st movement. Many Europeans saw him as the savior of Europe, before his stroke and the senate crippled him Both physically and politically

redditguy628

> There are TV shows about Grant and Obama and they are both pretty good. What are they called? > FDR was a snake. True, but he was so significant he would still have to fall into a morally dubious protagonist role. He could serve as a side character, but so could anyone on this list.

Grant and Barry I personally don’t think FdR would be an appealing main character. The most interesting thing of his biographies is his “Sphinx-like” and mysterious character. Wallace or Eleanor or Perkins are more convincing protagonists. With them being liberal crusaders trying to convince the enigmatic Roosevelt to move left on issues. Even in WW2, Churchill or other allied leaders would make far more convincing protagonists that are trying to get fDR to invest in the allied cause

redditguy628

> Barry I'm not seeing anything come up but the hitman comedy when I search that, and searches for Obama TV show are coming up short as well. > I personally don’t think FdR would be an appealing main character. The most interesting thing of his biographies is his “Sphinx-like” and mysterious character. This does make a lot of sense, I think I agree with you that he would be a better side character.

>Ran as a radical, moderate, racist, woke activist, upper class patrician, friend of labor, etc. That just sounds like a politician tbh

TickLikesBombs

I think Buchanan' personality makes him a good side character

SupremeLeader-Snoke

Wilson is not a villain

Tununti

I doubt Coolidge would be a side character like that sadly

Rannrann123

grant could be a main character
