It's actually ridiculous how long the "final showdown" lasts. Valentine's stand is introduced in >!Chapter 66, the fight of Hot Pants and Diego vs Valentine begins chapter 74 and the fight of Johnny and Gyro vs Valentine begins chapter 77. Valentine dies in Chapter 89. At 40ish pages per chapter that means the final showdown alone last around 600 pages or 920 pages, depending on whether you count the beginning of the showdown to be Diego and Hot Pants vs Valentine or Who Shot Johnny Joestar.!<
That being said the Part 3 Egypt arc is about 1500-1600 pages long over 80 chapters (which i counted from the hardbacks).
I'd expect that if the pacing is kept the same, the part 7 anime would have around 40-45 chapters.
I would count the “final showdown” as starting in chapter 77, I means Pucci’s stand is introduced all the way in the Manhattan transfer arc, doesn’t mean that’s the final battle of stone ocean
The difference being everything from D4C part 1 to the end of part 7 is basically one extended conflict, with only a brief intermission during the ticket to ride arc where he obtains love train while diego and hot pants are catching up to him. There's definitely an argument to be made that the final conflict begins in chapter 66 for part 7.
I don’t know if your joking or not, but I’m pretty sure it just comes from people saying that part 7 is going to be a pain in the ass to animate as horses are a pain in the ass to draw.
They said that they didn't want to do that because it would ruin the flow. CG in JoJo should remain in the openings and nothing else, just look at part 6
They litteraly never said that. CGI has always been in JoJo, Part 2 had cgi Horses. Every single cars in part 5 and 6 are CGI. Aerosmith is CGI, lots of background things are CGI. Even Rohan TV Drama had CGI for the glass shower. CGI isn't always bad
Gyro will be way harder to draw than the horses Araki only shows the grills like 1 every few chapters but they are gonna need to show them hundreds of times an episode along with the intricate outfits, I won't say they won't animate it but this might be the first part where the manga will remain the better medium.
Anytime some mentions animating horses and anime’s I like to point to Attack on Titan having multiple scenes with plenty of horse. I’m not saying it’s easy but it’s not as impossible and some people make it seem.
