I like how jolyne's ability makes her be able to throw hands with a stand

Channa_Argus1121

Jolyne=Bruno confirmed?

IndividualLock2

Yes.

ChomperGuy19

Anyone else remember the days of “only a stand can harm another stand”

Filibut

nah jolyne makes sense, she's made of stand

Beholdmyfinalform

Bro please don't act like that was ever a hard rule

ChomperGuy19

It never was but it’s so weird to me how they say it and then immediately ditch it afterwards. Even weirder to me that it was kept in the anime.

FoxTrotPlays

Even weirder to me that, in part 7, Araki REITERATES every rule as if he didn't break each and every one of them since they were introduced.

xX_potato69_Xx

Tbf jolyene is basically made of her stand, since the string is considered the stand aswell and she can unravel her body

Sawedboat

Yeah integrated stands can interact with other stands. Same way Yukako is able to grab echoes with her hair.

xX_potato69_Xx

Or how jotaro can use star platinums vision without having him out

Ustar0

give me an example of rule breaking and I'll (try to) debunk it

Old_Asparagus4742

it was ditched?

Trogladyte123

Nah it never was, people get confused

contraflop01

c-moon is the result of fusing pucci with Green baby, which is made from Dio's bone, which is technically a bone from Jonathan, which makes c-moon a hamon user

SparkingRed66

HOLY SHIIIT !

CookieCat698

The transitive property of hamon users

_Tonu

Almost as strong as the transitive property of trish

ClickPause

Transitive properties are vital to Hamon users.

Laughable-February

Piccolo looking-ass punches too smh.

MeThatsnotTaken

The heaven balls die without Ciccolmoon

Burgonya1

It's a bit off topic but I found C-Moon very underwhelming in the anime

memerman69-nice

the inversion stuff was cool, but they animated most of his actual fight so badly 😭

Xenomex79

They did Jolyne’s Mobius Strip moment justice thankfully. The ost and presentation was so good

memerman69-nice

pucci’s use of c-moon was animated fine, but even ws barraging looked goofy as hell

Corneliusojsub

Am I the only one who didn't understand the point of the Mobius strip? I just feel like Araki was flexing on schools with better lessons

Decidioar

A mobius strip is a shape that twists in such a way so that it only has one side. If you traced a finger along it, your finger would go the entire loop, both inside and out, before it comes back to its starting point because the shape is one-sided. C-Moon inverts an object's gravity, leading to some things becoming "inside out" when hit. You can see this with Jolyne's fingers, which, when hit by C-Moon, bulge the blood and muscles outside the skin where they shouldn't be. Mobius strips don't exactly work that way. Sure, they can technically go "inside out", but because of its one-sidedness, the shape stays the same. Therefore, Jolyne is able to use this to become unaffected by C-Moon's attacks.

ChomperGuy19

I don’t really get how she actually made a Mobius Strip though considering the string has to eventually connect with the rest of her body in some way

Hexadermia

C-moon’s inversion affects a small part rather than the entire body. If it did, Jolyne would be immediately dead when her hand was inverted

Stack_Man

Can't be turned inside out if the inside is the outside.

Burgonya1

Yeah. C-Moon literally looked like a kids drawing in the anime💀

memerman69-nice

it’s such a shame, c-moon is genuinely one of my favorite stands, it’s such a cool concept and looks sick in the manga

Burgonya1

Yeah I also really like C-Moon but it was such a bruh moment in the anime

Yukiteru_Akari

I found the anime itself to be pretty underwhelming 😭 I was looking forward to Stone Ocean's anime because I thought it was going to have the same quality as Golden Wind, maybe even better. I was wrong. Some scenes looked very wonky, the animation wasn't smooth like it was in other parts, and most of the soundtrack was recycled from Stardust Crusaders. I was expecting the Blu-Ray release to fix some of the bad-looking scenes but they didn't change anything. Netflix was the worst thing to ever happen to Jojo.

Burgonya1

Im insanely bias about JoJo and most things related to JoJo and even though only partly but I agree. Even though the animation wasnt too bad and there were some scenes that I really liked(for example the scenes with the mobius strip looked awesome) there were lots of times where it did not look as good as it should have. It should have been atleast as high quality as part 5 the whole time but the C-Moon fight for example was mostly trash tbh. Netflix really didn't do justice for SO. As for the music they did as good as in other parts with the new OST but there really were too many reused songs from part 3. My biggest complaint regarding this matter is the use of SDC's main ost during the Pucci beatdown. I think they should have put Sonochi no sadame there. One thing I really liked however is the ending. I think they did an amazing job with everything in the Made In Heaven and the What a Wonderful World arc and choosing Roundabout for the final ending was way better than if they actually chose What a Wonderful World. I almost started crying it was so good and in my opinion its the best ending out of all the other animated parts.

Yukiteru_Akari

I pretty much agree with everything you've said. The Mobius Strip bit was so beautifully executed, I remember being very amazed when I first saw it. But the others were pretty mediocre. I'm just upset that Stone Ocean was handled like this. The animation wasn't as quality as the other parts because the main team of David Pro was working on another anime called Urusei Yatsura at the time and Netflix rushing the release didn't make it any better. I still can't believe they didn't fix *anything* in the Blu-Ray release, other than the ghosting. I guess they didn't care about Stone Ocean as much.

Burgonya1

I haven't seen the Blu-Ray release yet but then I guess im not missing out on too much. Also Morbius strip lol

Yukiteru_Akari

LMAO Morbius striping everywhere

Burgonya1

My favourite part of SO was where Jolyne said "It's morbin time" and morbius striped all over the place. Truly one of the animes of all time

ChadBenjamin

Golden Wind was actually the outlier, it was the best animated Part by far with Stardust Crusaders coming in second. Stone Ocean wasn't done any worse than Phantom Blood or Diamond Is Unbreakable, except when it comes to the soundtrack which was lazily reused.

Yukiteru_Akari

To be fair, Golden Wind is the most popular part in Japan, alongside Stardust Crusaders. Stone Ocean was probably the least popular part. I'm afraid Steel Ball Run will share the same fate with SO because it isn't as popular in Japan as well.

Trogladyte123

What makes you say part 7 isn't as popular in japan?

Yukiteru_Akari

I researched and asked some Japanese people I know

Trogladyte123

Yeah I was just wandering what sources you had for your research. Like polls or something

Yukiteru_Akari

Yeah, I've seen some polls too

Trogladyte123

Was DiU not animated very well? Watching SO it felt lower quality than previous parts buy DiU seemed fine to me

ChadBenjamin

Maybe you watched the Blu-ray of Diamond is Unbreakable? Because the original TV version was rough, it clearly had a much lower budget than Parts 3 and 5. Part 1 is also handled kinda poorly, the Blu-ray fixed the art but the animation and the quality of the sound effects is clearly worse than the rest of the series. It legit felt like watching a slide show in certain scenes.

Trogladyte123

I watched on hulu in like 2019 so I dont think it was blu-ray. Do you have any examples of scenes that were particularly bad?

ChadBenjamin

[Here is one example](https://youtu.be/jI86cj-tAnU). The first version of [Great Days](https://youtu.be/qPsiiVKhj3Q) was also rough.

Trogladyte123

Thank you

planet_coaster_thing

I think the fight was mostly well done outside of this scene which was definitely pretty badly done.

Cool_Manufacturer335

Cocobutt_III

I liked the C-moon fight in the anime…

RoiKK1502

Same, didn't read the manga though

ZealousidealMind1785

Well stands can change their sizes or stretch. Silver Chariot and Hierophant Green entering Joseph or Star Finger can be examples

planet_coaster_thing

Or it can just be an animation thing to make the punches look better (not that I think this specific scene looks very good)

commentsandchill

I don't think they can become bigger or stretch otherwise the range component wouldn't make much sense

Podolsh

But we did see them change size tho The range might be effective range, a range were the stand is stronger

ZealousidealMind1785

They may not become bigger but they can stretch. How can you explain Star Platinum being close ranged and using Star Finger?

BIGBERDBIG

It's their effective range not how much range they have

carl-the-lama

All things considered, that bone technically came from a hamon user, and it was before dio removed the residual hamon from his body

UnknowSandwich

This part of the fight was so poorly animated it was beyond bad

ljeva

Unfortunately I can't disagree but it was sick seeing Jolyne dodge punches from a stand

heyimmaboredkay

You know I always wondered how long The World's arms would stretch if its range is said to be 10 meters.

stefibro

I think range is how far he can go from owner

bigfatty777

It’s range≠it’s arm length

SirCheeseEater

I ain't gonna sugarcoat it. **Star Finger proves the guys theory.**

SirCheeseEater

God, They did C-Moon so goddamn dirty. It's such a wonderful design but they really did him dirty. He lacks all detail he had.

Cocobutt_III

Manga readers when the anime is less detailed 😱☠️ (they had a heart attack)

SirCheeseEater

Manga readers? Fucking lol, I'm an Anime only (Thinking about reading SBR)

Geo2605

Read it. It has so much detail in everything that I can't fathom it being animated faithfully.

Destiny_Dude0721

Who shot >!Johnny Joestar?!<

Flextofen

Hajime no C-moon

Daft_boi_

BROOOO I FORGOT ABOUT ZOOM PUNCH, shit was legendary, I don’t think Joseph ever did it tho, but I guess star finger would kind of be like zoom punch in a way??

SparkingRed66

Actually Joseph did do the zoom punch against a random vampire after Kars stabbed Lisa Lisa in the back .

Daft_boi_

Really, I don’t remember but if you say so🤷‍♂️(and no way did you just un jokingly do an acshually 🤓lol)

CringeYeet69

I love how C-Moon is so slow that Jolyne didn't even have to use her stand's humanoid form to fight it

SparkingRed66

Yeah but don't worry, not in that way.

Cat_Luvr123

Nah man. That‘s some kind of evolved star finger. Hm…“star fist“? Nah- Pucci is not related to the joestars by blood (if we dont count him absorbing GB, which is a physical form of DIO‘s soul)….maybe…“grav fist?“ any ideas how to call this „ability?“ (except zoom punch?)

Lonttu

Well achtually, pucci mastered the ways of stando which is based on hamon 🤓

Cowhead_2010

OH SHIT IS THIS A FUCKING RUROUNI KENSHIN REFERENCE??!?!???!!!

zmixman

I mean, stands can shrink down in size, as shown by Silver Chariot and Hierophant Green in Part 3, so honestly, I think extending arm length would be a likely possibility.

Und3rwork

The 2 meter range for close combat stand started to make sense now

Geomancer_1880

Its all fun and games untill C - Moon shouts: gomu gomu no

Bad_Modder

Why does c-moon look so goofy in the first panel

ozgura2

So its the same type of stand as hamon
