Also having this issue when the bike is cold. Have just learned to take it easy for the first few minutes of riding. it seemed to get a little better after I put a slip-on exhaust on

The dealership has told me the bike shouldn't do this...my other bike a Duke 390 ran straight away.. I'll see what the service guys come up with this time and submit their feedback

Ha, I’d be interested to see what they say. My thoughts were that is wasn’t breathing very well. Be curious to know what you find out. Is that frasers Melbourne?

cjjonesnz

No Im in Auckland NZ, but I'll let you know...

multiple software mapping updates and still no change in my bike. I am going to look at getting it replaced under warranty...think the engine will have ongoing isues..

I had the throttle body replaced and a performance mapping uploaded. This has fixed the issue I had with the bike..

That's super interesting! Did you get it done at Ducati? Under warranty? Thanks for following up btw!

I’m taking my bike into the shop today, it would be helpful to have any history that happened with yours and the dealer? Was it a warranty thing?

I have spoken yet again to the Ducati service centre, where they have uploaded more software update for my bike. Still stalls when starting up from cold...runs like a bag of hammers too, no other bike Ive ridden performs like this. So still at the shop. Come on Ducati...this a isn't great look for your 2018 Monsters...My advice is to stay away from them....

I’ve had the same symptoms from new but occasionally will/cut out but only in the first 5 mins of running then all good, What I’ve found:. New Termi slip on with new map reduced the occurrence. Don’t run 98 RON fuel, it would almost never start or keep running when cold, just leave it alone and idling for at least 30secs. I’ve replaced the entire throttle body from a Ducati 797 (from EBAY in the UK). Now has 66HP vs 50 HP, and way more reliable when cold. It’s now got 10.000 k’s on it, much more stable
