idc about your favorite faction/political beliefs. What's you favorite moment you've had in New Vegas?
By - AZAuxilary
My favourite moment was on my second play through trying to fight past the Cazadors north of Goodspring and getting munched. I thought, "hang on Terry, there's more to this than I realised the first time around".
I was in Vault 3, trying to avoid the explosives in front of that Ranger. Looked right at Rex and was like "Rex please for the love of god just follow me do NOT step anywhere else please"
I take a few steps forward. I look behind myself and Rex is fine. I turn and take a few more steps. I hear one explosion go off and trigger every other fucking explosive for like 5 seconds straight. I turn around. Rex is fine. Arcade limps towards me, looks up, and goes "I should have stayed in NCR."
On an NCR playthrough I tried wiping out the Legion at cottonwood cove by sniping with boone from the overlook. Ended up missing an Explorer and hitting the mother locked in the slave pen, killing her.
Classic Boone move right there
Dude is 2/2
LOL, too soon, mah Boone!!!
I just watched Boone clear that entire area out. Good on him.
I just shot the captives and left with my caps lol
My fav moment so far was probs getting ncr salvaged power armor by using the e to talk+pushing character off cliff glitch to kill the heavy trooper without pissing off the ncr (kinda meh karma yes man playthrough)
Discovering the bioshock easteregg achievement after like 400+ hours for the first time lmfao
There’s a bioshock Easter egg achievement?!? How do I get it?
Kill Mr. House with a nine iron. Or nephis driver I think it’s called? Then you get the “a slave obeys” achievement, a reference to one of the greatest video game scenes ever made
Kill House with a gold club.
I think it’s supposed to be a Tire Iron, Nine Iron, or some other weapon? all I know is, I don’t remember seeing a “Golf Club” anywhere in the game, and that the specific item was some kinda “Iron”.
The golf club looking thing was called a 9 iron.
yes okay, great, thanks! I don’t think I’ve seen it myself, even after 102 hours of play time
It's Driver Nephi's 9 Iron
got it. yeah. I love the game but I've never gone out of my way to do this achievement.
definitely gonna do it during my Legion run though :p
having recently gone through honest hearts with sneering imperialist for the first time, it was absolutely hilarious confronting salt upon wounds and telling joshua to pop a cap in his ass
If you are too dumb to talk my language, you are too dumb to talk to me. Get lost!
Best goes with the wild wasteland perk, for the ultimate comedy ;)
In my most recent playthrough, I tried my first unarmed build, and soon realized just how much money you can make off of perfect quality guns, like a 10mm is 500 caps alone I think. I had 60'000 caps by the end of the game, plus I had 10 endurance so you know those caps went right to every implant that available, my guy was an arms dealer to rival the Gun Runners themselves. So I think my favorite memory would have to be discovering that profit-train, because I'm gonna abuse it in every playthrough from now on
Dude you can make an insane amount of money, almost done with my new house run with the name Pit Boss and I have over 300k in caps its wild
Serious answer: reaching the end of the Survivalist’s storyline in Honest Hearts. Only time a story in a game has ever made me shed a tear.
Silly answer: getting frustrated with the quest where you assassinate kimball in my legion playthrough and deciding to just run at him as he gets off the vertibird, smash his head to smithereens and immediately leap into lake mead to avoid being turned to Swiss cheese by the surrounding NCR troopers
Running to the Nellis Gate and being rude to the Guard.
Im not gonna say it you sick vindictive fuck
Maybe if you got rid of that Yee yee ass hair cut you'd get some crosses off your back
Oh better yet, maybe Yes Man would call your degenerate ass if he ever stop fucking with that courier or mailman he fucking with.
Degenerates like you belong on a cross!
On my very first play through I was doing the main quest in Primm, and I thought Jonathan Nash was supposed to be inside of the post office, I didn’t realize that the Vicki and Vance casino had a interior, so I ended up clearly no everyone from the bison Steve and doing every side quest. I’m a bit of a idiot
Cleansing the mojave of degeneracy one throwing spear at a time
Bro the throwing spear is so satisfying. Even if I’m playing a NCR character (almost never) I use it.
*Spear goes whoosh*
Blasting Caesar"s skull into paste and beating the fuck out of a bunch of slavers with the help of my lesbian besty.
Bull and bear bull and bear blah blah…FIRE THE SHIT! Bye bye NCR and Legion lol
I thought wiping out already half dead legion soldiers wouldn't affect my rep with legion, but i was wrong
On my first playthrough, I went into Caesar's Camp with Boone, and the battle that ensued shall be told throughout the ages. I mean, we obviously got our shit wrecked, but it was still really fucking epic
Setting Benny on fire with a molotov, gunning him down with Joshua Graham's pistol, and then beating his corpse into a red mist with a superheated saturnite powerfist
I liked when I wandered into a tiny house and got Vance’s machine gun for free. I didn’t expect to find anything in there so it was a pleasant surprise.
I was doing the battle at the Dam, and remembered you could listen to NCR comms. So i open my pip-boy and notice there are a ton of stations, i click on a random one.
It's the Father Elijah speech. I hadn't heard it before. Gave me chills, I put everything on hold and listened to the whole thing. It was tens of hours after I did the Sierra Madre, at the end of my playthrough. The speech just hit different, that he was still there. Obsessed. Waiting.
Yeah, basically every moment that psychopath prattles on. Father Elijah is so damaged.
ave, true to caesar
Ave, True to Caesar!
I blew Caesar up with C4
You…you…Degenerates like you belong on a cross!
Legionaries wear skirts lol
ncr wears beige
Yes, it is for breathability. Would you want to be running around a battle field with sweaty balls because your faction wears clothing meant for cold weather?
As long as im not paying taxes, Ave.
I might be misremembering how it went down, but I loved finding Marcus in Jacobstown. I can’t remember if I found the place accidentally or looked up a map, but it was nice to see him, having played 2 before New Vegas.
really, any time I find callbacks to the classics is a favorite. Cass is my favorite companion.
Ave, trve to Kimball
My wife wanted to clear quarry junction and only had a hunting rifle, Boone and Rex.
So she handed me the controller.
I did it, barely.
Oh god oh fuck, the NCR has sent their downvoters, prepare the legionnaires!
On another note, crucifying Benny was fun, but seriously, I have had so many great moments in NV I couldn't begin to answer that question accurately
Obligatory: Ave, true to Caesar.
you sick vindictive fuck
Hey, from where you’re hanging, this must look like a 14 karat run of bad luck. Truth is, you were bound for the cross from the start
Mr house sends his regards

Favorite moment? When Veronica punched some White Gloves to death, picked up a cane, beat some more to death and then proceeded to pick up a flamethrower and burn down the Ultra-Luxe
Splattering President Kimball with my Two Step Goodbye. Ave, true to Caesar!
Anything with the Chad Joshua Graham, literally anything
Elder Hardin congratulating me as the newest member of the Brotherhood of Steel.
Every time Boone kills a member of the legion before I even see them is my favorite moment.
the part where I fuck around with console and spawn multiple faction npcs and watching them fight and also the first time I devised a big brain plan to kill and trap that schizo old man in sierra madre using some c4
i really enjoyed blowing up the monorail and just talking to most named legion npc's. i just can't get enough of their voice acting
Probably the massive gunfight I had in that casino you find Benny in
Getting to New Vegas the first time.
After so many hours of playing I always think ik everything. But everytime I find new loot discover an alternative solution or just see something I haven't seen before it becomes my favorite moment. Most recently I discovered there is 2 suitcases in the back of an old police cruiser infront of the jackal hideout location between prim and the Mojave outpost. It has some money and drugs if I remember correctly. Surprised I never saw them since I've had over 30 playthroughs and love scavenging thoroughly.
“At least it’s not raining”
Favorite moment was watching the Boomers’ B-29 strafe Hoover Dam
Man that's hard. May be the moment when I was younger on my very first play through of new Vegas and had my mind blown that you could say fuck all the other factions and take over Vegas yourself. Might be my first time playing lonesome road or old world blues and exploring all those cool areas. Theres so many cool moments in new Vegas.
Edit: ok no my favorite moment is probably when I made a first of the North Star themed unarmed character called son of fisto and shot myself up with every drug imaginable and bare handed rawr in lonesome road. The feeling of power I got from beating a giant deathclaw to death with my bare hands was amazing.
Also finding out all the cool dialogue npc would say if you killed or did certain things. It really made the world feel alive.
Ave, true to Yes Man!
Ave, True to Ceaser.
Ave, true to caesar salad.
Storming the fort in power armor and a minigun and wiping the floor with the legion.
Abe true to Cesar
Ave crushing the ncr
Ave true to Caesar.
I'm going to preface this that I'm not here to tell you all how to have fun playing a videogame. As someone who doesn't like to join the legion I really liked the tension and atmosphere of being hated by the legion and arriving in their camp to speak with Ceasar. It's just a really cool and interesting moment in the story if you take that path, in my opinion.
For the Brotherhood.
AVE true to cea SIKE BITCH ITS THE NCR
when i went pass the dude warning me about the deathclaws and i was like pshhhh ill be fine i wasn't
Ave you seen my platinum chip by any chance?
Ave, true to Caesar?
That guy who won the lottery is quite fucking memorable.
I was also pleasantly suprised that the first npc was fucking saul tighe
Ave, true to House.
Everyone says the NCR and Legion are douchebags, I'd say killing every Powder Ganger in the NCR Correction Facility was my favorite moment in New Vegas.
When I saw a ghoul floating mid-air.
Then the fucker teleported and began attacking me.
Definitely when I got to wear power armor for the first time. I was so hyped.
Ave true to kimball and house!
A favorite moment is probably playing the original, unpatched version of New Vegas while I was in grade school and finding the mutilated bodies of still-living NCR troops in the No Man's Land between Forlorn Hope and Nelson. I remember running over to them to see if they could be helped before the mines under their bodies went off, sending bits of trooper onto me and bits of shrapnel through me. Unpatched New Vegas was wacky.
Pumping myself full of drugs and taking on the Legate and his camp with just a nailboard
Never! Glory to the NCR!
Finding the remnants on my fifth play through I was dumbfounded I missed such a huge piece of the final mission but never finding them somehow I really don’t know I didn’t find them before that
I have something to give to Caesar:
For starters, I've played this since I was a kid. My dad owned fallout 3, on school nights I'd slip out of my room and play it in the living room on mute. When New Vegas was announced , my annoying pubescent self came into Blockbuster every month asking if it came out yet. I read all the articles and I reread them again and again. I don't know what I was expecting when it came out, but this my point:
Every moment. Yes, it's cheesey, but I mean it. Every moment in this game summons that childish glee I felt when I first saw it announced. Everything felt it was in its place, every wild wasteland moment, every death law jumpscare, every radiation overdose. Maybe it doesn't make that much sense but I feel like if I could turn around from my 674th playthrough and see my childhood self, he'd be smiling ear to ear. It was everything I wanted and it's my favorite game, and every moment reminds me of that.
:it's your first time playing new Vegas and you have to walk all the way up to the Mojave outpost but your listening to the Mojave music radio so the vibes are unlimited. Life is good
Jumpin back into the game years after I played it last on my 360 and finding a location I’d never been to before with a whole ass quest line I never knew existed. Hundreds of hours in the game and it still has secrets for me
My by far favorite moment in the game is when I started playing I wasn't able to go into the west side of the map, like where the fiends are, because the disc I was playing on was scratched to hell and back. My dumbass started to associate the area with some long lost treasure, it was the dumbest thing. Still crack up thinking about it.
Also the survivalist storyline just hit me hard, I'm from SLC and have been to southern Utah. There is so much in that story that I can relate with. I love honest hearts and don't understand why it gets so much hate.
Ave True to Caesar
There is a trailer near searchlight. When you start looting a gang will attack. I have it saved the exact moment a legion raid party and said gang meet and fight each other. I also have several friendly npcs fighting too, its a mod.
True to Caesar
Ave true to Ceasar.
Ave, true to Caesar.
Ave, true to Caesar!
true to Caesar!
When I critically hit and killed 6 legion centurions with a .44 without vats
My favourite moment is fighting Lanius one on one beating his sorry ass.
Seriously though there are ma y to choose from.
Fuck the legion
The Legion is poorly written. You can tell they are just supposed to be killed because their missions are the worst in the game.
Everything about the Legion bores me. I wish they just went with an equal faction to actually give you viable choices. It's so black and white. Are you gonna take it all, take drugs, take slaves or take taxes.
Nothing else to choose?!
You're poorly written
I think the best experience I’ve had is on my current playthrough, I was storming through the Mojave killing degenerate fiends finishing quests, and making my way to Benny for our destined meetup. Along my travels I met Veronica and helped her with her brotherhood issues, and the Name Elijah was being tossed around left and right, i had questions upon questions, this pseudo Brotherhood leader that was V’s “best friend / father figure”. Eventually I’d make my way to the ‘Sierra Madre’ and confronted him, ultimately killed him within the confines of vault. Once I came back to the wastes, I told V everything. Concluding the Father Elijah and Veronica story. 8/10 DLC to play on Survival mode. Currently, my Courier is stuck in Utah right in the middle of a upcoming war. Wish me luck, lol.
fighting alongside ulysses at the end of lonesome road :,)
