Future Uniform options? increase encumbrance for less damage taken?
By - SwimmingEagle121
they hinted at this in the Warden uniform concept art during dev blog 38.
This should absolutely be a thing. Honestly, it was the first concept that came to my mind when I heard about uniforms coming to us.
If warden heavy armor doesn't get a sallet helm I'll be a little bit dissappointed.
I thought about the same. Some kind of assault gear with asymmetry: Wardens get armour, while Colonials faster sprint as way to highlight the philosophy of factions
I can only imagine the terror of a bunch of partisan goblins running around with their speedy britches
It’s called underwear raising and we just have panties on.
Please no. Making battles and gunfights even less dependant on us and more dependant on what the devs decided to give us is a bad idea. Also this would be a nightmare to balence.
I played a while ago and then stopped and when I came back the asymmetry really turned me off it. It felt like skill and coordination wasn't important, individual fights were decides purely by what the devs gave us. I've been meaning to give it a try once the big update drops, but I'm worried I will have the same issue.
If you don't like your factions gear, kill an enemy and take theirs. Real wars are asymmetrical, be glad logi is more or less the same for both sides.
We can't take enemy uniforms.

Real war let's me developed weapons the way we want. Also this isn't real war, and it isn't really modeled of it anyway. There are a small number of games that I will let get away with realism as an excuse for a bit of imbalance, this isn't one of them. And if us having the same weapons if okay if we steal them, either making stealing them more institutional or better yet just let us make them.
Also it isn't not liking my gear, it's more wanting individual fights to feel more fair
Please don’t give Clapfoot ideas.
Please god no.
Don’t the recon outfits already have something like that?
Im pretty sure recon just have a chance to not be spotted by watch towers/intelligence buildings
Ah I see, that’s kind of lame
The dong pistol grip on the rifle is my favourite part of this image
Wardens and phallic objects name a better due
Blemish and roadkill?
I don't recognize any of the weapons here... What country's military is this??
German. AT rifle on the right and a k98 to his left. The other two lmg looking things I’m not sure
They look to be the US chauchat (chambered in 30-06 rather than 8mm lebel of more distinctive original French varient with the giant horseshoe style mags).
I'm guessing they were captured by the Germans? Otherwise no idea why they have the guns.
Ww1 was famous for the infantry customizing and modifying the weapons available as most qeapons produced werent made for trench warfare as it was a brand new meta.
thats what i thought
I DESIRE MY A R M O U R
I think it should reduce damage of only shotguns and melee weapons and smgs, but only from the front. They would be good for trench raids but not OP in open field combat. Also a smartly set up truck network would allow some counter play
Infantry armor would push the meta away from reliance on trenches and cover for defensive operations. I don't think this would be a good direction to go with the overall design mentality.
Medieval armour for bayonette rush. kek
It doesn't really matter if you get to resist a couple more shots, if you go slower, the enemy is going to be able to hit you until you're dead, because mobility is currently the best armor in the game. Unless it gives you a really significant advantage i think this would result in slower soldiers being killed just as if they didn't have it on.
Ah yes as if speed hackers weren't enough lets pump those numbers up a bunch and see an enemy freaking dragonballz take out 5 friendlies in mere moments
Check out my mods. It'll be released soon.
