For Cata Apollo 2 by twinstar just went to the final patch like a week ago. For MoP go Tauri. Both meet the population requirement and I believe they’re both more than x1 but it’s been a while since I leveled on Tauri (it has been fully progressed for like a year).

If you like getting absolutely no loot in dungeons and the only ninjalooting they care about is in raids, then yeah Apollo 2 is a great cata server. Almost forgot random 24hr bans for god knows what.

TBC: Karazhan (1200-1500 pop now) Cata: Apollo 2 (because there is nothing else) MoP: Tauri (don’t even look at other MoP servers)

Tbc servers are dying, endless has 400 pop crossfaction and Atlantiss 600-750 per faction peak Cata and later i only played retail

Well as far as i remember 1k player servers are DOA ? Meaning 1k player server wont last long. Also, Atlantiss is tuned up ? Meaning it requires more effort, more effort mean more farm/economy, bigger playerbase to choose from to be able to clear the content. At 1k players start posting on world chats “dead server” so yeah , just like Atlantiss previous realms died, so will Karazhan soon And again, 1k divided by 2 factions, its 500+ per faction , how many guilds even raid now ? 3-4 per faction ? Each guild has 30-35 raiders ? Around 220-250 players raid in guilds, out of 1.2-1.5k, maybe 100 pvp ? Rest is just afking in shat and leveling but it wont last long. Its dying

except this realm is not new or even close to it. There is also classic TBC available yet they STILL keep over 1k players. You obviously have no idea how few realms ever achieve over 1k players for more than 3 months....

They are much older servers than Karazhan , look at where netherwing is from Atlantiss and netherwing is less old than any of those before mentioned, 10 players on that Atlantiss server ? If even that

The point still stand, tuned up content demands higher population to function , 1k players divided in half is not enough to clear content less than 5% players manage to clear, why ? Because 5% of 1K is 50 players , half is 25 , good luck clearing swp with 25 players per faction that are capable to do it, people will get burned out fast. Same will happen with endless , not gonna shill endless , low pop + tuned up content = death

Karazhan has maintained a 1-2k pop since the pre patch dropped in tbcc and the decline has already stagnated. The server has been out for a year and a half, with all content already released some time ago. Most players on the server are in raid progression, with neither faction having much need for a large enough population for constant raid pugs, dungeon runs, or for finding leveling partners, etc. You do not need a 5k pop for the server to survive. While you may be correct that you need several thousand people to show interest in the server at launch for it to stay relevant at the end of the content cycle (through hype and generated interest), this server is not at launch or even close to it. The server has been around for a while and honestly did not lose many players at all to tbcc, as the pop only slightly declined at pre patch and has stayed basically the same since, with most of the playerbase remaining to raid with their guild, pvp, and wait for Atlantiss's release of Wrath, which I'm sure will generate a lot more interest and will have many players return to play their old characters again for progression into the next expansion. Wrath is also by far the most popular expansion in WoWs history, so expect that new interest to be pretty substantial. To conclude: you're wrong and your opinion is bad. You should be ashamed of yourself for even considering to state that the server is dead, when you're nothing more than a F R E S H I E chaser who doesn't seem to play anywhere out of fear that everything is a "ded serv lul". How about just pick somewhere to play, make some friends, and stop whining about how many players are online? Have a good one homie.

Was there ever any actual info released on what was tuned up? Just raids? Raids, heroics, and normal dungeons? I'm curious how much of a cakewalk classic tbc would be after Atlantiss

Mostly Heroics and raids are tuned up on Atlantiss. Classic TBC is a cakewalk compared to Atlantiss servers. For example. Archimonde had 14.5m pre-nerf and doing more damage while on retail tbc pre-nerf Archimonde had 4.5m. It is the same with Brutallus, it had around 16.5m on Atlantiss while around 10.5m on retail TBC. All the bosses were doing more damages and sometimes bosse's spells were changed to do more damage too.
