Iceskating at the Classic Center starts the day after thanksgiving. They offer a season pass for $125 and you can go several times a week.

I always forget about ice skating! Thanks for the reminder

I’ve been doing CrossFit since 2019 at CrossFit Liberate in downtown Athens and I absolutely love it. Next week is “bring a friend week” - so if you would like to try some classes for free, check it out! I also run and road bike outside of CrossFit.

pro_deluxe

Thanks, I know some people that do CrossFit there, so this might be a good opportunity to try it out!

DogMomNerd04

No problem! The free classes are super chill and no pressure to join. Feel free to private message if you need anymore info or need a buddy to go with!

Don’t get hurt. I tore my meniscus my first week at that place. Not necessarily their fault but these places keep orthos in business

abernathym

I bought a kettlebell, you can do a lot with one.

F3 Classic City if you want to do free Bootcamp style workouts

Active Climbing, off of Barber St, is a lot of fun. they have easy/top rope climbs set up in one room, and a hole bunch of bouldering in the main room. There is also a gym/yoga studio upstairs. They often do route resets, so it keeps the climbing fresh. Check Flagpole Magazine and the posts at the Ramsey Center entrance

gettinjiggywidit

Several yoga studios offer intro months at a steep discount

Brazilian jiu jitsu. It's a pretty solid workout, especially when you are just starting out. There are a handful of good places in/around town, including East Athens Jiu Jitsu.
