My favorite genre of leaks are movie/TV people and musicians openly talking about their involvement in games on social media and during interviews without realizing how secretive the games industry is compared to theirs
They look at games and think they’re “not a big deal” when compared to music and all that but oh boy would they be wrong…
NDAs with video games are extremely serious and can result in a lawsuit or bad relationship if you don’t follow. I’m trying to remember off the top of my head certain things, like I think Kanye came out talking about how he spoke with Reggie about a new game but Nintendo immediately put him on the spot.
Once is bad, twice is worse, and then you get to a point where you probably need to silence the most talkative British film actor alive today.
How half of the stuff in the MCU was kept a secret post-2016 is a miracle and a half.
definitely were leaked intentionally. Especially when hes opening that gift from marvel on ig live and the first thing he shows is the infinity war cover (which at the time was unknown) and then after opening this, he opens the letter and on ONLY on the BACK of it says "confidential do not share" like why would they put the warning on the back, other than for the audience to see it first lol?
Some of them were, such as the FFH title reveal and End Game poster, but he has actually leaked/ talked about stuff he’s not supposed to multiple times.
I mean they are, but Holland's leaks were more hype generators than *spoilers*. Also, as best as I can remember, they all came from staged and taped interviews OK'd by Marvel and that had days of time between taping and airing. If you think Marvel doesn't review and "OK" material that it arranges idk what to tell you.
Spot on. 50 hashtagged it “bigger than Power,” which is the TV show he executive produced and acted in. 50 is too proud of Power’s success to even *pretend* a GTA6 cameo would outshine it.
Tv show could definitely be possible now that Dan houser left he never really wanted to do it but with the success gaming franchises are having rstar could be very interested now
Maybe, if all other creative industries aren't as secretive as the game industry, it's the game industry that should adapt, not the creatives from those other industries.
i dont think they are really that different. At least when concerning the most expensive pieces of entertainment. I bet its partially for practical reasons: its easier to hide the casting details of a game than a film, tv, etc but much of it is still kept secret. Just look at how Marvel movies have been handled.
The difference is an album doesn't cost 100 million to make. Neither do tv shows. Or atleast only 1 for 100 that is being made right now.
The stakes with aaa game production are far higher so it's not surprising developers and publishers are touchy about things which could ruin user engagement.
>publishers are touchy about things which could ruin user engagement.
Like releasing shitty and/or unfinished games? Predatory monetization? Among other things. The gaming industry is as carny as any other entertainment industry and most secretive publishers/dev usually have something to hide (CDPR as the best example)
Or, each industry should carry on doing whatever works for them.
Standardised practices are for morons. If a studio wants to keep their ip a secret, why would it be a problem for you?
I mean the two entertainment mediums are incredibly different
One is something you watch
One is interactive and you experience it at your own pace. They don’t want that ruined for you
I never said there were only two in existence, I’m just talking about those two specifically
Vice City is a video game
50 Cent teased an upcoming TV/film project that may it may not
He may be a marketing genius but he's also a trolling, petty scumbag lol. He hasn't dealt with a company who's not willing to deal with his bullshit yet, Rockstar is that company.
The whole shit leaked two years ago, this wasn't a controlled leak. This was 50 Cent being 50 Cent
> He hasn’t dealt with a company who’s not willing to deal with his bullshit yet
50 was blackballed for years after beefing with *Jimmy freaking Iovine*… exec at Apple and Beats, and co-founder of Interscope
Movies are radically transparent. You know when they’re in concept, in development, delayed, who’s attached, etc. frankly games should realize secrecy is stupid and just be open and honest. It’s not going to sell less if people know a new Zelda is in pre development already.
I think a big problem is games can take a long time and far more likely to get cancel or change directio . When a movie hit filming it's full steam ahead. When a game hit production it can take 2 year or 8 years.
Compared to making a game tho making a movie is easy and regimented.
I think the fear is if things don’t pan out, as often happens in software, you get a lot more delays and cancellations which the community sees as a bad sign
Believing into connection between famous celebs and Rockstar isnt gullible at all. Its not like people see what they want to see its literally Vice City logo posted by 50 cent with all its weirdness
It seemed like he was annoyed hence why he posted that in the first place. Like maybe there was a lack of communication between them and this was his way of getting their attention. Everyone here acting like he didn't know what he was doing though... lol
The U.S. is the only place as far as I know in the world that goes mm/dd/yyyy instead of dd/mm/yyyy. It's half the reason we've all switched to yyyy/mm/dd I think.
I think this is an advertisement, when GTA 5 was about to be released I saw a rapper (The Game) on his IG page sharing a photo of him that looks a lot like a GTA character but he didn't comment or say anything he just shared it and people went crazy but he wasn't in the game at all not even his photo but he did voice over once for San Andreas as B-Dup, so don't be surprised if 50 cent wasn't in the game at all cause this could be just to hype up the fans
Here's a link for the photo..

The pictures he posted were pulled off the Internet. [Vice City Sign Ali Express Listing](https://m.aliexpress.com/i/3256802140988506.html?gatewayAdapt=Pc2Msite4itemAdapt)
Am I crazy or does this seem to have absolutely nothing to do with GTA at all? I sincerely think 50 has something called or akin to "vice city" in an upcoming project, Googled Vice City and posted the logo not knowing it was a specific thing tied to GTA
GTA 6 has been the most hyped game for the past decade, and for most of that time we didn't even know if the game existed. The sarcasm in this statement is true
Washed up rapper. Not sure why they’d work with him after his career flatlined and he went crazy. Now he’s leaking stuff for their games. They should part ways while they’re ahead.
Guess the lawyers got in touch.
The plot thickens…
His lawyer gently nudged him in the stomach

"Who shot me, but you punks never finished. Now you feel the wrath of a menace"
**WHO KILLED HANNIBAL?**
#WHO IS THE MAN BEHIND THE SLAUGHTER??!?!
And the Charles Dickens

Give it time and the general public will probably get the idea in another decade or 2 if I had to guess. Maybe more, but who knows
Its more likely that the industry changes than the GA actually buys into the secrecy
And then theres Tom Holland who has been literally duct taped to a chair during a group interview lmao
Once is bad, twice is worse, and then you get to a point where you probably need to silence the most talkative British film actor alive today. How half of the stuff in the MCU was kept a secret post-2016 is a miracle and a half.
Because Holland's leaks were all intentional and thoughtfully planned out
definitely were leaked intentionally. Only from like 2018 onward. He was genuinely a leak machine before that
Some of them were, such as the FFH title reveal and End Game poster, but he has actually leaked/ talked about stuff he’s not supposed to multiple times.

I remember Melia's voice actor for Xenoblade casually saying in an interview "Yeah they're making another one"
Are we sure he's not making a vice city inspired tv show lol this don't really means he's in the next gta game

Yeah I’m sure the millions spent figuring out best market practices was a waste and the entire gaming industry got finessed
The difference is an album doesn't cost 100 million to make. Neither do tv shows. Or atleast only 1 for 100 that is being made right now. The stakes with aaa game production are far higher so it's not surprising developers and publishers are touchy about things which could ruin user engagement.

are they not two different types of entertainment?
There are more than two types of entertainment and the two you picked aren't even the two that are relevant to this post.
I never said there were only two in existence, I’m just talking about those two specifically Vice City is a video game 50 Cent teased an upcoming TV/film project that may it may not

My man forgot Rockstar Games lawyer works harder than Nintendo ninjas
Their lawyers aren't called Rockstar Mafia for nothin
This is so funny, actually. What other names have been given to other game companies' lawyers, I must know
Ubisoft damage control
The Sony Shinobi
The Xbox Exterminators or possible The Microsoft Militia.
I like this one
I heard Sensei Cerny part times a few hours a week as part of that group.
Valve Chill Dudes
EA scumbags
Nintendogs since they send out Reggie to destroy you
Nintendo has ninja and Rockstar/Take Two has their Legal Mafia. Are we going to find out soon that Ubisoft has Assassins and CDPR have Hitmen.
If they did, he never would've tweeted in the first place
it's a controlled leak 50 Cent for all of his stupid shenanigans is a marketing genius as far as artists go
He may be a marketing genius but he's also a trolling, petty scumbag lol. He hasn't dealt with a company who's not willing to deal with his bullshit yet, Rockstar is that company. The whole shit leaked two years ago, this wasn't a controlled leak. This was 50 Cent being 50 Cent

what is he leaking bruh.
his involvement in something gta related for all we know it could end up being a GTA Online thing, which would be very funny
If they'd been Nintendo ninjas, I wouldn't have heard a thing. I would've been dead.
Can’t be working that hard. He had it up long enough to post twice
He definitely didn’t follow the damn train
Well, his initials are CJ, so we really should have seen it coming.
Movies are radically transparent. You know when they’re in concept, in development, delayed, who’s attached, etc. frankly games should realize secrecy is stupid and just be open and honest. It’s not going to sell less if people know a new Zelda is in pre development already.

Who shot Tupac?
I hope that motherfucker gets caught soon or is dead, Tupac deserves Justice.
Dude died many years ago. Forgot his name but he was the guy Tupac stomped on in Vegas the night of his death.
Orlando Anderson
Well I guess that clears up the motive
tupac was also sentenced to jail time for sex abuse
If we go down that road then most rappers are
Well I don't think most of them would be in jail for sex crimes, but yes, some of them were in jail lol
3 hours ago??? That's 180 minutes! 180 divided by 2 is 90. Stick with me....90 minus 84 is 6. We're done here.
literally ninety 84.
This is all a distraction from the real announcement that Rockstar is developing the sequel to 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand
It has nothing to do with gta, he loves trolling and attention

Rockstar almost put the tenth hole in my man
What does this imply?
We need to put on multiple tin foil hats.
50 cent 50 = 10 away from 6(0) = GTA 6 Cent = 4 letters (2 away from 6) = GTA 6 5(0) / 4 (2 away from 6) / 2023 (the year) = trailer coming 5/4/2023
If the trailer actually drops in April, then you my friend are a tin foil god
Maybe he means May? Americans do it weird.
How did you know I wasn't American?
The U.S. is the only place as far as I know in the world that goes mm/dd/yyyy instead of dd/mm/yyyy. It's half the reason we've all switched to yyyy/mm/dd I think.
Damn, did not think of that

This confirms his involvement in the new or some GTA franchise.
That or Rockstar just asked him to take it down.
Why would Rockstar tell him to take it down if he wasn't involved in any projects?
Because it's Rockstar. They will takedown anything related to them
That's not how it works... Rockstar cannot take down a post like that if no NDA or anything was broken.
It doesnt
Or he’s trolling people like you
Even if he only wanted to promote some non GTA related project, he used a trademark from Rockstar Games and would have to take his posts down
Get the strap fofty
I'd be very surprised if this wasn't intentional.
I'm convinced that this is all strategic and actually part of Rockstars Marketing for the game.
They don’t need that

Ah yes. GTA, a game that requires hype being built up.
GTA 6 has been the most hyped game for the past decade, and for most of that time we didn't even know if the game existed. The sarcasm in this statement is true
It’s not about hyping up the game or show, it’s more so expressing the hype for him and his involvement.
As if the most anticipated game in gaming history needs to drum more excitement lol.
This game hasn't been officially announced, right? I completely forgot about that since the leaks exposed so much lol.
Pretty sure Rockstar put out a formal statement that they're currently working on GTA6 when the test build leaked
No details though, right? Just the next installment? I do remember that at the least.
We already knew that GTA6 is set in Vice City, this only confirms that 50 Cent is involved in some way, which I'm indifferent to.
I genuinely believe he'll be a host of one of the Vice Radio stations
A cease a desist be like that
Washed up rapper. Not sure why they’d work with him after his career flatlined and he went crazy. Now he’s leaking stuff for their games. They should part ways while they’re ahead.
50 cent was about to be turned into a quarter by Rockstar's lawyers.
So GTA 6 takes place in vice city hahahaha
Like I said on the GTA 6 subreddit: could be something, could be nothing🤷♂️
Wow that's such great insight
I know it’s awesome
humongous if accurate
It's just confirms his involvment in new Grand Theft Auto game, that will be set at Vice City.
What did he do before this?
Love letters from Take2’s lawyers have been delivered. The date will take place at the corporate courthouse.
I got Kavinsky Nightride FM tweet flashbacks for GTA V..
