Filed Dec 22 as a fdc it closed on March 17th and didn’t pend or anything because I looked at it that morning and later that day it was in the closed section.
I gave up on appeals years ago as the turn around time was so long I would have over 100 k back pay if I did but sadly to keep family afloat I aggressively filed fdc’s
The next day or two usually takes two days you can call e benefits and figure out which company is doing your c&p call them ahead and you will be in and out within a week.
You can request permanent and total in the appeal. Mine was upon award because my previous conditions were already 19 years in and involved removing or organs.. my secondaries that pushed me over 100% my community care provider wrote saying they would require life long management

I think it’s called champva pays for health care dental college etc.
I just don’t know if they can be enrolled and get is cards if I’m not permanent and total.
Thanks for the update, never understood scar ratings. I have some doozy's but never had them included in ratings and I figured it was factored in with the injury that caused the scar.
Yea so scar ratings are not really that high unless you file them for each side of your body like I did or you have them on your face.
And no scars are completely separate then the condition the condition that my scars come from is rated 60% alone.

What was ur timeline like ? Was it an fdc?

What do you mean by apply for DEERS?
Probably ID cards for dependents.

You need to be 100% P&T to get ChampVA. Dental isn’t part of that.

Are the ratings for the scars or the physical damages under the scars?
Scar, underlying soft tissue damage, right lower extremity/right medial thigh/groin Scar, underlying soft tissue damage, left lower extremity/left groin inguinal region Painful/unstable scars, right upper extremity, left upper extremity, right lower extremity, left lower extremity, posterior trunk
