Fun fact: nintendo can't take down mother fan games because the ip is owned by itoi. They also never took down any kirby fan game, probably because that is made by hal, and the only fan content they took down was a +18 card game of chef kawasaki in a bikini
>kirby fan game, probably because that is made by hal,
But they had taken down also Pokémon fan games (Pokémon is made by Game Freak ) so I think they can
Yk they can't really take down SF, SF2, or SM64 R96, because those are also downloadable. If they were to take it down, somebody is bound to reupload each time (maybe from different sites, like google drive, mega, dropbox, etc.)
Never played, but it takes the general idea of Pokemon, and makes a bunch of new Pokemon, and takes the pixel art of Ruby/Sapphire and Black/White to mix it.
Big Pokémon Insurgence fan here.
Plays like Pokémon. with a story that far exceeds everything.
It’s also not like difficultly rom hacks that shove competitve BS down your throat.
Notable things of interest:
Brand New Megas (Eevee, Marowak, Flygon, and Hydregion)
Delta Forms of OG Mons (Ice and Electric Ralts, Fairy Psychic Bulbasaur, and Fire Grass Greninja)
Armors for Pokémon (Tyranitar, Leavanny, Zekrom)
NEW PRIMALS (Arceus Regigias and Others)
And the villains are amazing.
Even New Moves
Yes, still the same turn based Pokémon game we all know and love.
The difficulty options do determine the future boss battles. Like I think on normal mode after gym 4 everyone starts slapping Items on their Pokémon. But on Hard mode they have more competitive balanced teams earlier and their much more difficult.
Personally, I’d recommend new players start with Eevee because it’s by far the best Pokemon in the game thanks to its Mega Evolution buff, and the only downside is carrying eevee to gym 3. But by then you get access to a move tutor that makes it comically overpowered.
The game is incredible, and I recommend playing on Dark Story Mode. The story even extends to the Post Game and there’s so much to see and do in the game.
You also get a secret base to help with training levels in later parts if you’re a nuzlocker playing their dedicated nuzlocke mode.
Thank you for all the info. Turn based games bore me to tears (I need a bit more engagement than just hitting buttons and watching things happen without further input), but I may still check it out.
Don’t blame you, but this game more than made up for clicking the button in turn based action because you never know what people are going to do next in this story.
I never thought a Pokémon game where people fucking die and cults run rampant would be such a fun idea.
It’s still a turn-based game, though the other person is hyping the story of the game up a bit more than I would. It’s serviceable and on par with other Pokémon games with darker, but not necessarily mature themes.
Pokemon Showdown is an online battle simulator that lets you customize teams (you iust pick pokemon and their moves; no breeding, TMs, etc) and battle other players. Buncha different options if you wanna experience competitive battles, or less serious goofy stuff.
No matter, whenever Nintendo takes down, something that creation still remains available and so do the re-uploaded videos. Which leads me to very interesting theories about Nintendo's DMCA bot/team in Japan
For every way gamefreak/tpc sucks, I gotta hand it to them: they support their competitive scene and seem to appreciate fan projects (evidenced by gen 9 seemingly taking inspiration from romhacks etc)

They took down the WHAT.
WHAT THEY TOOK DOWN SORRY
Dude I was literally just thinking about the Kawasaki game a few minutes ago before I saw this post! WHAT ARE THE ODDS
>kirby fan game, probably because that is made by hal, But they had taken down also Pokémon fan games (Pokémon is made by Game Freak ) so I think they can
Iirc it's usually game freak/pokémon company that do that
If I remember. When they struck down Pokémon a brick Bronze. The developers said it was directly from the Pokémon Company and not Nintendo.
Isn’t mother also Hal?
Yes, but the ip is owned by itoi
You guys remember Super Hornio Bros and Oversexed Eeveelutions? Still mad about it.
Is super hornio bros that flash game of princess peach?
Nah, it was a porno Mario movie that Nintendo bought so no one would publish it.
Ahhhh gotcha
They bought it?

Nintendo also mostly only takes down fan games when it's very similar to a game they're working on
True, like (unfortunately) AM2R
Besides am2r, what other games did they take down that was similar? I'm genuinely curious.
There was some Mario Battle Royale game that was very similar to Mario 35
Five Nights at Wario's
What're the two Pokémon ones?
Pokemon Insurgence is the most popular fangame currently, and Pokemon Showdown is competitive Pokemon made by fans, with a large community.
Does Insurgence play like normal Pokémon games?
Never played, but it takes the general idea of Pokemon, and makes a bunch of new Pokemon, and takes the pixel art of Ruby/Sapphire and Black/White to mix it.
Thank you
