Pink-Gold-Peach

Left Hand Suzuki Method goes pretty hard

UnsaidPeacock

Bong rip at the beginning gives me chills

Pink-Gold-Peach

Bong rip? Nono, that’s very clearly just somebody blowing bubbles in their McDonalds chocolate milk.

UnsaidPeacock

Oh shit. My bad. It does sound THICC. You’re right

brycearthur

This is a solid answer too.

karaloveskate

Just came here to say that. 👍

rickjames334

My answer too

elsantioof07

Gonna name a few: Sound Check Every Planet We Reach Is Dead Sweepstakes Carnival Kansas

bigChungus1237

i LOVE carnival 🫶🫶🫶 and the extended version is even better!

elsantioof07

Carnival is a banger, also, thank you for telling me there's an extended version haha

ghastord

gravity-y-y-y-y-y-y-yyy on me

Yaboku777

5/4

DR_Mario60

Ive been i fan of Gorillaz for only 3 weeks now and I can say with full confidence, 5/4 is my favourite song by them. Though, I cant decide what my second and third favourite are lol.

BJoostNF

Top tier instrumental. Love this track.

erbmc

Said it once I’ll say it again. Super fast jellyfish

SnappyTofu

I hear people talk about it more than All Alone, which is criminally underappreciated.

Tae0724

All alone is amazing. I especially love the part where the girl sings (I don't know who it is) it just sounds so out of world and soothing at the same time.

hexonexxon

Martina Topley-Bird. She was involved with Tricky for some time (they had at least one daughter together) and has a successful solo career while also appearing on several of his early albums.

WorstHouseFrey

When he comes in with the bounce it always gets me

SnappyTofu

BOUNCE *wiggle* BOUNCE *wiggle*

John_Lennon1980

For Me I Fuckin' Hate All Alone but you're havin' a Upvote for you own opinion

BJoostNF

I’ll listen to the entirety of Super Fast Jellyfish just to hear the smooth ass transition into Empire Ants.

bassocontinubow

This is the correct answer

FireGod207

Agreed.

ledsouptin

We are happy landfill DINGS

DrFartsparkles

Stop the Dams, or the full version or Do Ya Thing

Minionmemesaregood

The full version? The 11 minute one where most of the song is just Andre3000 saying I’m the shit?

Froonkensteen

Fire Coming out of the Monkey’s Head is goated

BJoostNF

Probably second to Feel Good as my favorite track on Demon Days. I wish Gorillaz did more songs like it

John_Lennon1980

What 'bout DARE

GundamMan008

Not u sayin dare… 😂😂😂😂

granolawithnoraisins

pirate jet, bill murray and every planet we reach is dead

Jasielel

TO MANY DAYS TO GET LOOOST

erbmc

Also rock it fire as fuck

Killertron

Blah blah blah blah blah blah

melanated_simp

collapse

Honeycomb_7

Yessss this would be my answer

davy89irox

Aries. It is one of the coolest songs they have ever written. The guitar riff is so sublime. And the beat on those 80s synth drums is so funky. I have listened to this song 1000 times I bet. "I'm looking out at a volcano, trying to read the world today to see where you're at"... "I'm standing on beach in the distance and even though you're far away can you see my red light? it's waiting to turn green. I feel so isolated without you, I can't play a happy tune on my own; so stay by my side, low or high tide." And they repeat high tide over and over in the chorus because she makes him feel high all the time. Dude is over the moon for whomever he's singing about. It's so beautiful.

Olicocopo

I didn’t even realize Aries was not popular I thought it was so good it was IMPOSSIBLE it wasn’t loved by everyone

BJoostNF

I’ll be honest - I think the problem is that Song Machine had so many unbelievably good bangers that almost every song on that record feels underrated. Aries would have been an instant classic if it were on The Now Now or Cracker Island. Demon Days and Plastic Beach are always considered the best Gorillaz albums (for good reason), but give Song Machine some time and I think that people will quickly start to consider it a classic and quite possibly the best record Gorillaz has ever made. It’s absurd how good damn near every single track on that album is.

davy89irox

Your comment is 100% valdi. It's damn near a perfect album.

elsantioof07

Aries RULES. Such a good song. Also, not to be rude or anything, but I always thought that the main riff of the song was played in a bass. With Peter Hook on the track you never know haha

GundamMan008

I love the Last Chord

ghastord

Magic city Busted and blue

hexonexxon

“Faust” is awesome. Besides it, I think my votes would go to “Hip Albatross” and “Bill Murray.”

granolawithnoraisins

bill murray is amazing it's one of my favourite songs!

hexonexxon

That bassline is superb. I was fortunate enough to get into Gorillaz in 2001, so to me they’re always gonna be about that phat bass and cool drums. “Bill Murray” has both.

brycearthur

Hip Albatross has my vote. That's my favorite song from Phase 1.

LoggedLogger

some great songs i rarely hear people mention are shy-town, detroit, hongkongaton, 12D3 and pirate jet. i also agree with faust.

Olicocopo

Detroit is one of my favorite Gorillaz song weirdly enough, something about it is just impossible to skip

GundamMan008

IM IN DETROIT!!!!

LoggedLogger

i agree, it's one of my favorites. it's just so... silly sounding. i love it.

Zed5alive

Seattle Yodel

Psychological_Bend92

Listening to Seattle Yodel is actually a blast when you learn it was sampled from a "Yodeling Pickle" trinket Damon found at a gift shop.

Gods_left_shoe

IAmTheSnte64

Slow country. My favorite song by them

GundamMan008

CANT STAND YOUR LONELINESS!!

DLCV2804

Blightsexual_luz

Yes

MrBreadslice

Revolving Doors and Sound Check (Gravity)

val-sae

gor beaten

brycearthur

Still mad we never got this on the Anniversary release of ST. How dare they deprive us! "Hand Clapper" had so much more than what we expected. And I'm sure "GOR Beaten" does too.

wonkydonky2

Here are a few... New Genius (Brother) 911 Apple Cart Pirates Progress Revolving Doors Meadows Fire Flies

circusbaby20101

From what I’ve heard, Apple Carts is now officially on the Damon Albarn solo album Dr. Dee. It was originally thought of during the plastic beach era, so it got placed onto fan-made album Sea-Sides. I understand the misconception though.

undertheseainpiss

Double Bass

StrangeAdamska

Halfway to the Halfway House. Song is absolute genius.

mfdoomfan2272

New genius (brother)

DirtTrackin34

Most of the first album

Simplicity!

deacystoast

Sweepstakes

Murd0cs_left_t0enai1

The sounder and 911

GriffinPYT

All Alone

R0ssMc

Some Kind of Nature and Kids With Guns. I realise Kids with Guns was a single, but the fact they made it a double A side with El-manana and didn't give it a proper music video hampered it's success in my opinion.

lordichihashi

Out of Body is one of them

AugieDoggieDank

All Alone

guinfito

Not the most underrated, but white flag, cloud of unknowing, submission and November has come are really underrated

HairyPotters420

white light, cloud of unknowing, white flag, and charger.

Stormallthetime

Swagga and Rockit

motorola_phone

the apprentice.

ZipZorf

Momentz.nuff said

Effective-Land-8771

Definitely Cloud of Unknowing for me, never hear anyone mention it. It's why I like Possession Island so much, its due to the shared likeliness of it's plasticy brother.

AceyPuppy

9/11. I think a lot of people don't even know about it.

PhantomPt2

Some great answers here i just wanna shout out Spitting Out The Demons and The Parish of Space Dust

buttsoup24

Revolving Doors

depressed_music

Space Monkeyz Theme, easy

forestman11

Pirate jet.

demilo10

Aspen Forest

stickynutcream

Hong kong, haven’t seen many people talk about it

OKNOWOW

One of the songs I've always loved, but never see people talk about is some kind of nature. It has such a sweet sounding tune that always puts me in a good mood.

wawalefou

Obviously Hong Kong and All Alone

John_Lennon1980

19-2000 (Soulchild Remix)

patrickStarIsCool69

Some kind of nature andsuperfast jellyfish go hard

StuTuDi

We are happy Landfill definitely

Redandsonic4199

Mr Softy’s Balloon Race: it’s a minor song and quite simple yet I think it deserves a bit more recognition

Medium-Walk3294

Chalk Tablet Towers

MMH0K

Demon Days, its my second favorite of the Album and the ending/sunrise vibe it gives I love it.

DeathScissors

Hillbilly Man is and will always be the most underrated. In any other album it would have been a fan favorite

sumfunk

On D sides DFA version of Dare is insane.

daedluapsi_9

Revolving Doors from The Fall. It’s beautiful and a bit haunting.

Die_flimflam

Tranz 100%

Gods_left_shoe

And Ticker Tape

GundamMan008

I LOVE FAUST THATS MY FOCUSING SONG!!!

HopelessDaydream

I guess I’ve heard it mentioned sometimes but honestly Amarillo does so much for me and makes me feel like I’m directly in my fav version of the Gorillaz world. Also Stop the Dams is their most emotional song to me, truly impactful.

Full_Cartographer616

I know it could definitely be longer but White Light is pretty underrated
