But you get half of the other one percent. Because, connections. Joking.

No-Dragonfruit4575

If anyone is asking YOU for money for an "amazing opportunity" it's definitely a scam

ralmeida

If you even consider going to Reddit to ask "is this a scam?", it's a scam.

MusicalChops212

This made my day πŸ™πŸ‘πŸ€£ So true.

PKMKII

Sounds like a good way to be out $150

schilli21

If you even have doubt about something nowadays, let it be. When time is ready good collabs will come for free

squarek1

100% scam

Aepheusloops

He’s giving you the opportunity to get finessed!

Undersmusic

Scaaaaaaaaaam 🚨

azaramdv

Why would he charge an upfront fee to collab? If he's sitting in the middle of the transaction, he just needs to take a cut of fees. If he's pursuing you, it's incumbent on him to produce the money first. That's like a company headhunting you and telling you you'll get a 6-figure salary, but must pay them $10k first... what?? If you've got so much money and connections why do you need an upfront fee? Yep a scam. Trying a bit harder than most though.. that's a bit specific and niche.

docmlz

Giving access to major connections is called being an agent and they would be entitled to 15-20% of the money earned by your combined efforts if things work out.

lol at some point i ain't even mad at scammers ppl keep fallin for scams so might as well take the money there is a reason those annoying bots hit up every youtube comment section

smogbomb

Devil's advocate... Is paying a scammer to learn how to avoid getting scammed the next time any different than paying an accredited music school to teach you how not to get scammed the first time?

Consistent_Fly_6615

Veerrryyyy valid question, you either get finessed by the scammer or the institution.

Carltones

Scammers are getting wise to the fact they can suck a few hundred bucks out of the music production community. People post about how to get noticed, networking, gaining traction on social media, and all the things us musicians ask questions about on Reddit, and these fucking leaches diversify their leaching skills to supplement their leaching income. SUCK A DICK SCAMMERS

a_reply_to_a_post
